Section 1557 is the non-discrimination provision of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The law prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in certain health programs or activities. Section 1557 of ACA requires that covered entities post a non-discrimination notice and taglines in top 15 languages spoken in their state, develop and implement a language access plan, designate a compliance coordinator, and adopt grievance procedures (if have 15 or more employees).
